The Premiere Annual Rotary Festival of Wheels
11am – 4pm, Sunday November 6, 2016
The Moonah Rotary Festival of Wheels is held in Tolosa Street Park in Glenorchy. The park provides an ideal setting to showcase diverse vehicles including motorcycles, cars and trucks, which we hope will range from early 20th century to contemporary models. The event is a family day with entertainment and activities for children both little and grown up.
Food and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
The event will start at 11am and finish around 4pm with an award made by ‘People’s Choice’ as well as awards for ‘Rotary Choice’ for vehicles in each class.
This occasion is made all the more worthwhile in that the objective is to support the Menzie’s Centre, and in particular, raise money to assist the centre in its research towards men’s health.
It is heartening then to be sponsored by Shannon’s Insurance, well known for its support of enthusiast’s vehicles as well as receiving sponsorship from the Glenorchy City Council who are kindly offering their grounds for the day.
It is further heartening to be receiving support from the Private Ambulance, the Tasmanian Fire Museum and the RACT with the generous provision of both classic and unique vehicles from each of these organisations.
This is the inaugural ‘Festival’ and, given the great support received from the community to date, it’s over to you, the owners with your vehicles to help in making this a successful event. This will establish the way for the Festival of Wheels to be a regular annual event.
